Mourinho Admits He Would Like To Take Over at Man United

Ferguson, 67, has stated his intention to step down at Old Trafford before 2012, but at the moment he shows few signs of giving up the reins after 23 years in charge.

But former Chelsea boss Mourinho has admitted he would readily consider taking charge of United.

"I would consider going to Manchester United but United have to consider if they want me to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson," the Inter Milan chief told the Daily Mirror.

"If they do, then of course.

Manchester City Pose No Threat

Sir Alex Ferguson has gone on the attack as Manchester City continue to spend.

Fergie believes that City will pose no threat to the Champions this coming season.

"What has he got? Ten strikers?" was Ferguson`s comment, and "So if he picks a squad to go to Chelsea, he has to leave seven behind or five at least."

Other comments he`s made-

"It's City isn't it? They are a small club with a small mentality.

"All they can talk about is Manchester United. They can't get away from it.

"They think taking Tevez away from Manchester United is a triumph. It is poor stuff."

I have to agree. If City ever beat United that`s their season made for them. It doesn`t matter where they end up in the Premiership. They have a losing mentality, and buying a load of strikers won`t solve their problems.

They might score goals, but they`ll leak a lot too with their defence they have at the moment. If they don`t buy some good defenders they have little chance of being in the top four at the end of next season.

Michael Owen was a good catch, and if he performs as well for Manchester United over the coming months as he has on the recent Far East tour he`ll be a big hit at Old Trafford.

Malaysia XI 0 Manchester United 2

Michael Owen has scored his second goal in three days for Manchester United.
United took an early 2-0 lead against a Malaysia XI at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

Owen, who scored a late winner against the same opposition on Saturday, scored United's second after Federico Macheda had put them in front.

Sir Alex Ferguson completely changed his starting line-up for a match hastily arranged following the terrorist attacks in Jakarta on Friday.

United`s Indonesia Match Off

The hotel bomb blasts in Indonesia, on Thursday have resulted in Manchester United canceling their match against the Indonesian Super League. Pre-season fixtures in Indonesia might not be on United`s agenda for a long time after this..

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office had warned United back in April that it was a “high-risk” place to go to, but the Red Devils still decided to go.

Guaranteed a lot of United`s fans in that part of Asia will be very disappoined at not seeing their heroes.

Carlos Tevez Signing For City

Carlos Tevez is swopping Manchester clubs. Tevez is moving to Manchester City. The 25 year old is expected to sign a five year deal later today.

He`s confident that City will win trophies under manager mark Hughes. United`s loss is definitely City`s gain in this case.

Manchester United`s Buys Well Below £80 Million

Although Fergie is publicly saying he is happy enough with his new signings-Michael Owen, Gabriel Obertan, and Antonio Valencia-few think he`ll be putting the cheque book away just yet for this season.

Ok, he might not get anywhere near spending the £80 million he got for Cristiano Ronaldo, but I can`t see him sticking at his £20 million outlay for new players thus far.

Real Madrid and Manchester City have raised the stakes somewhat with their crazy transfer fees and wage fees. It`s all become too inflated for Ferguson`s liking. He won`t pay over the top fees, but until soemone puts a halt to the transfer madness it`s going to have to be something the Premiership has to put up with.

Ronaldo Unveiled at the Bernabeu

Well at last Cristiano Ronaldo got what he claimed he`s always wanted from childhood-to play for real Madrid.

He was unveiled before an 80,000 crowd at the Bernabeu yesterday, keeping the police busy trying to stop Ronaldo`s adoring fans from getting on to the pitch to get closer to him.

The world record fee of £80 million has been paid. Manchester United are in the process of keeping the dreams alive at the `Theatre of Dreams` as they look to buy some new players. Ronaldo will be sorely missed at Old Trafford. He`s leaving behind a lot of supporters who really liked him, along with the many friends he made while he was there, both footballers and non-players, and of course the man who brought him to Old Trafford-Sir Alex Ferguson.

Michael Owen Signs for Manchester United

29 year old Michael Owen has signed for Manchester United on a free transfer.

Owen passed the medical yesterday, and has signed a two year deal, which will reward him if he does the business for the Red Devils.

The striker will earn far less than his £110,000-a-week wages at Newcastle, but could still do well depending on appearances, goals scored etc.

Owen at his peak was one of the best goal scorers England have had in the modern era. Hopefully he will stay injury free and reproduce the same talent when he plays for United.

United Receives £80 million Fee for Ronado

Manchester United are now £80 million richer now that Cristiano Ronaldo has signed for Real Madrid.

It was thought that the Spanish club would be paying the transfer fee in several stages, but they paid it off in one lump sum.
