Nani impresses on Far East tour

Nani offered the first evidence of the talent which persuaded Manchester United to pay £17 million for his services as Sir Alex Ferguson's men ended their Far East tour with an easy win.

The 19-year-old's magnificent chip capped another memorable evening on a largely successful trip and suggested comparisons between Nani and compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo may not be too far wide of the mark.

Meanwhile Alex Ferguson has called Liverpool `opportunists` in the ongoing dispute over Heinze`s potential move to Anfield.

Heinze wants to leave United

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Gabriel Heinze wants to leave Manchester United.

Heinze has been linked with a summer move after losing his regular left-back slot to Patrice Evra last season.

The Argentinian has been courted by Liverpool, Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Barcelona, although Ferguson has yet to receive a firm bid.

However, the Red Devils manager acknowledged that Heinze is hoping to secure a transfer before the start of the season.

"Gaby's agent has advised us that he wants to move on," said Ferguson.

"I am not too sure about that and we do not have a concrete offer from any particular club.

"But there is some momentum regarding the player's next move in terms of through his agent, even if nothing is close at this moment in time."

Fergie confident of Tevez deal

Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Carlos Tevez will eventually end up at Manchester United.

Tevez is currently at the centre of a major transfer wrangle with present club West Ham and the Premier League refusing to sanction a move to Old Trafford even though terms have been agreed with the player's agent Kia Joorabchian.

The Premier League is anxious the Hammers should be the main financial beneficiaries of any move having only authorised the player to participate in the final three games of last season on the understanding that the contract with Joorabchian had been ripped up.

Joorabchian, however, is adamant that Tevez remains his property and any financial windfall should come to him.

United legal expert Maurice Watkins has been left to find a solution to the impasse, with the Old Trafford club anxious to push through a deal quickly, but Ferguson is certain the 23-year-old former Corinthians star will finally join his squad.

Poland goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak also finalized his permanent move to Old Trafford. He spent last season at United on loan from League Championship side West Bromwich Albion. The length of his contract was not disclosed.

United has also signed midfielder Owen Hargreaves this offseason. The Canadian-born midfielder completed his move from Bayern Munich on Sunday for a reported transfer fee of about 17 million pounds.
