Rooney Sent To US For Further Rehabilitation

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney has been sent to America for rehabilitation and conditioning work to improve his fitness. This means he will miss the derby match next Wednesday against Manchester City.

The Red Devils would have liked Rooney to be available in the big match, but it won't happen.

Rooney has not figured for United since their 2-2 draw with West Brom on 16th October, with matters off the field having dominated the headlines since then.

Rooney is due to return to the UK from the US on 13th November, but when he will put on a United shirt again remains to be seen.
