Wolves Go Down 3-0 to Manchester United

No one really expected even a full strength Wolves team to beat Mancheter United last night, including their manager Mick McCarthy. And that`s no doubt why the decision was made to rest 10 players who beat Spurs at the weekend so that as expected when United beat Wolves at least the main players were rested. That would stand them in good stead against the up and coming `lessor` teams who Wolves would stand a better chance against.

Unfortunately Nemanja Vidic was injured last night with a calf strain. He scored the second goal. The first came from  a Rooney penalty.

The third goal was a great hit from Antonio Valencia who is beginning to repay the trust put in him by Alex Ferguson.


The 3-0 result puts Manchester United level on points with Chelsea.
