Amsterdam Tournament Win By United
A Ryan Giggs free kick gave United a 1-0 victory over Ajax to give them the Amsterdam Tournament.
Michael Carrick suffers an ankle injury in the match and is expected to be out for 3 weeks. That means he`ll miss the 1st 2/3 matches at the start of the new season.
Although the referee reported the red cards against Rooney and Scholes to the Dutch F.A. it appears that the English F.A have commented that they won`t be imposing a ban on Rooney.

This prompts the question whether pre-season friendlies are really worth it. How often do teams go on these tours and end up losing players through injury? Pointless!!
