Manchester Utd Taken Apart By Liverpool

Could someone please explain the logic in leaving the likes of Scholes, Giggs and Berbatov on the bench at the start, and playing Tevez, Anderson and Park?

Fergie is back to some of his old ways, that of starting with a (relatively speaking I accept) poorer first eleven, then, if things go wrong, making substitutions.

The team to start against one of the best teams in England right now-by definition-needed to have been the strongest possible. Only if United gained a decent enough lead should substitutions to the `weaker` players have taken place.

Not the end of the world of course for the Red Devils, but to go 1-0 up through a Ronaldo penalty and to eventually end up on the losing side by 1-4 to your arch rivals is incomprehensible. And the sending off of Vidic won`t help the title run in.
