Ferguson Furious over Wes Brown's Wage Demands

Sir Alex Ferguson is furious Wes Brown has refused to accept Manchester United's final contract offer and accused modern-day players of "living in the pockets their agents".

Brown, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, rejected a £40,000-a-week deal. His agent claims he deserves £50,000.

But United warned there will be no increase and Fergie revealed his anger, believing too many players like Brown are manipulated by advisers.

Apparently his advisors think he should earn the same as players like Vidic and Hargreaves, thought to be around £50,000 a week, but Fergie isn`t going for it.
