£30,000 Fine For Chelsea After United Match

Chelsea have been fined £30,000 and been severely censured by the FA regulatory commission for failing to control their players during their recent Premier League match against Manchester United. They have also been warned to mind their future conduct.

The club admitted their guilt in the matter, which specifically referred to the reaction of their players to referee Mike Dean's decision to send-off Mikel John Obi in the first-half of their 2-0 defeat on September 23. He was shown a red card for a heavy tackle on Patrice Evra and served a three-match ban immediately after the FA rejected his appeal.
