United Beat Sunderland

United have been a shadow of the team that romped to the title last year with breathtaking attacking football. The side has been lacking the edge in front of goal, winning tight games by the narrowest of margins.

But two wins on the bounce have seen a revival of sorts at Old Trafford and few would doubt, even after their poor start, that the defending champions will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

The difference between Sunderland and Manchester United was clear to see when in the second half Louis Saha made his first appearance of the season, taking less than half and hour to make an impact.

United, lacking a genuine target man for the first part of the season were transformed when they had somebody to play towards. In the end the goal came from a corner, but the attacking endeavor of the side was plain to see.

A win is a win is a win, and at the moment even 1-0 is very acceptable. It was great to see Roy Keane get a wonderful reception from the United faithful.
